Why Pergo?

Just how tough is Pergo?
Pergo can stand up to abuses that no other traditional flooring material can tolerate. Pergo Original and Select are two of the most wear-resistant floors you can buy.

Heavy furniture won't leave dents
Heavy traffic of active lifestyles won't wear through the laminate surface.

Pergo is water resistant
It's moisture-resistant enough for use in bathrooms (when installed properly!).

Pergo won't stain.
Won't stain, even from the toughest spills.

A lit cigarette won't burn Pergo.
Pergo's base layer ( PerCore® with APS) conducts heat so efficiently that the heat from a cigarette spreads out too quickly to burn the floor.

Your concerns about fading can, well, fade.
Direct sunlight will not fade Pergo. You'll never see the sun-faded outline of a rug or bookcase even if it's been in one spot for years. We are so confident about this claim, in fact, that we offer a Wall-To-Wall Warranty against fading.

You won't wear on Pergo.
There is, of course, no such thing as an indestructible flooring material, but Pergo floors are the most wear-resistant you can buy. The surface layer, made of a remarkably tough resin layer called melamine, is ideally suited for the wear and tear of day-to-day living and working. Pergo will not wear under the abuse of foot traffic. We are so confident about this claim that we guarantee the laminate surface of Original and Select will not wear through for 15 to 25 years, respectively.

Lasting beauty?
You got it. Pergo is one of the easiest floors out there to keep clean. Usually, all you'll need to do to keep your Pergo floor looking great is to vacuum (no upright or carpet attachments, please) or damp mop occasionally. And it's so impermeable that tar, nail polish and markers come right up. If there's an accident, a household solvent like nail polish remover or denatured alcohol will take up the stain - no harm done.
