Highly Engineered Core Materials.

DuraCore 500
DureCore™ 500 is Pergo's new, specially engineered core material with resin and wood fiber composites made specifically for Pergo® Select.

DureCore™ 500 is denser than competing core materials and provides greater resistance to water and dents due to its high resin/polymer content. It is designed to bond with Pergo® Glue, improving floor strength and stability. DureCore™ 500 is only available in Pergo® Select.

PerCore
PerCore™ with APS (Advanced Property System) is the patented, specially engineered wood based core material designed to absorb Pergo® Glue, improving floor strength and stability. PerCore™ has 20 years of successful installations behind it and is available on Pergo Original Flooring.

Pergo offers superior balanced backings.

Pergo has two backing materials:

  1. A contra laminate backing is used with DureCore™ 500 to balance the Pergo Select product line. It is designed to balance these specific products and maintain the dimensional stability of the tiles and planks.
  2. A paper backing, laminated with polymer material, is used for Pergo's plank products using PerCore™.
These balanced backing materials add stability and help the floor adapt to the normal temperature and humidity changes that occur in home and office environments.
